...so I was sitting on the back porch this morning enjoying a cup of tea, and I heard a soft ruffling and a "kerthump" from our cedar tree that sits directly in front of us. I could see this kind of largish looking bird had plopped onto a branch nearby, but I couldn't tell what it was. It looked all puffed up and a bit like a huge robin. Eventually I could make out a head and long, barred, squarish tail. This was no robin...it started to unfold itself, and it was really long. Pretty soon, it flapped over to the fence between us and Josh & Linda, and sat for a while, inspecting the sparrow's nest on their house. That is where I got these pictures. I wonder if our cedar tree has been keeping secrets like this for long?
